You are so sweet, thank you :)

Anonymous said: Does it seem odd to you that Christians are some of the most unapproachable people? It just seems like people who have been forgiven so much, and understand the depth of grace, should be able to turn around and do the same. Instead I see a lot of exclusivity and pious pretenders. Not saying this is you whatsoever. Just a thought.

it seems very odd—backwards, even. I’m not really sure why so many Christians are hard to approach, maybe it is because they don’t know how to have real conversations, maybe because they are scared or intimidated, maybe they have been taught wrong. No matter the reason, it’s not right. And I am sorry that THAT has been your experience with Christ-followers—that isn’t how Jesus is!! But it’s also important to remember that even though they are believers, and have been given grace, they still need Jesus daily. Grace, forgiveness, love, more grace. We all need it! We are all learning and could all be better at loving.

It is hypocritical of us to neglect reading our Bibles, and then cry out in prayer as though we are hungry for God. Real hunger pushes us into the scriptures.
